JENNETTE CONNERS

BIOGRAPHY

Jennette is an award winning artist and published children's book illustrator from the Niagara Region, Ontario. She is educated as a Graphic Designer which enhances her work as an illustrator. Her background in illustration and fine arts, in which she is self taught, remains a strength and passion. Jennette also has a business management background.

This talented artist has diverse interests and media.  Besides the computer, she is always exploring works in acrylics, watercolour, graphite, and sculpture (particularly metal). She also does murals and graphic design for her clients. She is willing to take on any creative challenge given to her as it keeps her creativity flowing. She is constantly pushing herself outside of her comfort zone, trying new methods, subject matter  or media.

Her portraits will always be a love for Jennette.  She is able to literally draw out the ‘magic’ and personality of her subjects, within each of her portraits, in which she takes pride. Jennette's objective is to evoke emotions in her viewers, often tears well up in the eyes of those whom she does commissions for, which is what she considers the most rewarding part of sharing her artwork.

In 2011, Jennette opened A Tat of Class. A Different Body Art experience....

This new approach to Body Art (yes, tattoos) gives the general public and those wary of going into a tattoo shop, a Spa environment that is safe and professional. Jennette approaches her artwork on skin as passionately as her fine art, working closely with her clients to obtain the image and emotions that she strives for. Her services there include Permanent Makeup, Scar Revisions, Medical Tattoos, Areola Reconstruction and of course tattoos.

Jennette’s capabilities in her work’s diversity, makes her work highly sought after all over the world. No matter where she travels, she will always find inspiration in the beauty around her.

“There is beauty in everything around us, if you just take the time to see it.”
